For over 35 years, Great Explorations Preschool has been meeting and exceeding Michigan’s Early Childhood Standards of Quality for Prekindergarten. We are proud to provide a high-quality, personalized early learning experience that supports the development of the whole child.

Our program is licensed by the State of Michigan, recognized as a Demonstrating Quality program (formerly 5-star), and is a proud partner of Kalamazoo County Ready 4s, offering tuition assistance for eligible 3- and 4-year-olds living in Kalamazoo County.

At Great Explorations, we believe that young children learn best in environments where they feel safe, valued, and connected. Our home-based program combines the structure and richness of a high-quality preschool experience with the warmth and comfort of a home setting. This familiar, nurturing environment helps children feel at ease, build strong relationships, and develop confidence as they learn and grow.

With a small group setting, we are able to provide individualized attention and meaningful connections, supporting each child’s unique developmental path. Through engaging, hands-on experiences, children build essential skills in social-emotional development, early literacy, math, problem-solving, and creative expression.

We offer a 6.5-hour preschool program each day, along with an extended day option from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., providing flexibility to meet the needs of families.
